Hello All!!
This is exciting! My first Nerd Stuff blog post! In this post you will find a link to download either the actual Pro Tools session I used to record and mix the "Drum Booth Song" or the raw files if you don't work in Pro Tools. I have also added a way to pay for the download and use of the Session/Files. Payment is not enforced. If you feel this session/files might be useful for you and feel like paying me a couple of bucks for it, I appreciate it :)

THE MIX CONTEST
I thought it would be fun to do a little mix contest with this session. The mix I did was done with my hybrid mixing setup, and I definitely could not get it to sound the way it does when mixing entirely in the box. Others are better at mixing in the box than I am, and I'd love to see if you can match or beat my mix with your setup! So, If you would like to take a stab at mixing this recording and submit it to be compared with others, this is your chance!
I would like you to choose one of two approaches because it will affect how it is being judged. You can either MIX TO MATCH my mix, OR you can MIX TO DO YOUR OWN THANG. I will choose my favorite in each category and feature them on an episode by:
1) Talking about how awesome your mix is!
2) Play a video of you in your studio showing your setup! (If you send me one)
3) Show how you did your mix by pulling up your mix session (If you want to share that AND if I can playback the session)
WINNERS CAN CHOOSE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING PRIZES:
1) Free copy of the UnFairchild 670m mkII plugin!
2) Free UTA Vari-Cap Cable!
!!SUBMISSIONS FOR THIS CONTEST ARE OFFICIALLY CLOSED!!
I apologize if you didn't get a chance to send in a mix. There will be more of these in the future!! Please still enjoy the session/files to check!!
